Rankings and Accreditations

In 2015, Universidad de los Andes became the only private university in the country to have its national accreditation renewed by the Ministry of Education for the maximum possible period of 10 years. Outside of Colombia, Uniandes has received numerous international certifications such as the ABET accreditation in 2010 for the School of Engineering’s eight undergraduate programs.

Additionally, the School of Management at Universidad de los Andes was the first higher education institution in Colombia to become accredited by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). This accreditation is a prestigious recognition amongst business schools that is awarded to less than 5% of schools in the world, some of which include Harvard and MIT.

Through the combination of the AACSB accreditation as well as the previously acquired EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) and AMBA (Association of MBAs) accreditations, the Uniandes School of Management has acquired the “Triple Crown”, a term used amongst business schools to refer to the triple accreditation which serves as the highest marker of quality assurance in the world; only 1% of universities have been certified in all three, including schools like the London Business School, IE Business School in Spain and HEC in France.

These recognitions are a testament to our dedication to offer education at the highest level in order to develop future leaders capable of contributing to our country’s development.
